Wild orchids! Medicinal plants! Edible berries! Unless you are out with a guide, you may never know what you are walking past on our trails! Surrounding the Lund and Powell River area, there’s a fantastic network of volunteer built trails, some of which follow old logging roads and railway beds from 100 plus years ago. From ocean side rocky bluffs through lush evergreen forests to scenic mountain vistas at elevations of 1200 plus metres, there is a huge variety in what our trails have to offer.
One notable trail is the 180 km long Sunshine Coast Trail, Canada’s longest hut to hut hiking trail. At Terracentric we offer logistical support, day guiding services, information including the official guide book and maps as well as water taxi to the trails northern starting point at Sarah Point. This trail has several access points, so you can choose small sections to do (1 – 3 nights out), day trips, or if you wish, do the whole thing, with resupply points en route.

Leave all the details to us, as we provide return transportation on day tours for small groups of 4 or less, delicious picnic lunches or snacks made from fresh ingredients and fascinating stories of local natural and human history.

Mossy Meanderings
Spend a morning or afternoon in the forest on some trails near to Lund to explore some of what our coastal temperate rainforest has to offer. Hikes are chosen based on what points and plants of interest they offer and what your interests and abilities are as well, from unique plants, to lush riparian zones to scenic view points. Includes a small snack, your guide and depending on group size, a ride to the trailhead.
3 - 3.5 Hours / $75 per person plus 5% GST / Minimum of 3 people. Bookings for fewer than 3 people will be charged a flat rate of $225+ GST / Departure: 9:00 am or 1:30 pm
Forest Immersion
This day tour allows us to explore some of the loops and routes on the Sunshine Coast Trail, often with a specific vista or cabin as a destination. As much as possible we will try to gauge your interests and abilities and pick routes that will suit you. Examples of day hike destinations include the Wednesday Lake / Manzanita Hut loop, Appleton Canyon with its gorgeous falls, or Rieveley’s Pond on the northern sections of the trail. Includes snacks and picnic lunch, guide and depending on group size and which trail, transport to trailhead.
6 Hours / $119 per person + 5% GST / Minimum of 4 people. Bookings for fewer than 4 people will be charged a flat rate of $425+ GST. / Departure: 9:30 am
Historical Lund Walk
Are you travelling with a group? This one-hour Historical Lund interpretive walking tour around the harbour and surrounding village is great for those interested in understanding what makes Lund so special. Minimum group size required for this walk is 10 persons. Please contact us for pricing.
