Organizational Profile
Since June of 2001 Terracentric Coastal Adventures has been consulting, developing and delivering adventure learning programs and wilderness guiding services in a wide range of settings for both public and private sector organizations. Terracentric literally means earth-centered and embodies our belief that everything is connected to our natural environment, either directly or indirectly. It is our hope that our experiences will kindle these connections, whether within the individual themselves, between other people or to the natural environment.
As a small business, all our employees have to opportunity to work closely in a mentorship situation with the owners of the company, who are involved in all day-to-day activities. As well, employees are expected to perform duties in all areas of the business as need arises, and as the employees’ capabilities and willingness to learn allows. Thus, Terracentric offers an ideal situation for training youth and young adults in all aspects of adventure tourism, a growing and eco-logically sustainable sector in the Pacific Northwest.
Terracentric Coastal Adventures Ltd. is a leader in safety and risk management, and all employees are provided with a copy of the safety and risk management plan as well as training that includes scenario practice.
